Are you ready for an Alphabet Adventure
through the African wilderness?
Learning to read is not just about deciphering shapes on a page. The sounds that letters make enrich our understanding and appreciation of language and help us develop and grow our vocabulary and our imagination. The African bushveld is filled with wonderful sounds, and this book is designed to bring them to life - to make meaning of words and to draw vivid pictures in your mind.

Meet the Creators

WRITTEN BY BRENDA KERR
Brenda Kerr, was born in Bulawayo and grew up under the Zimbabwean sun. She now lives with her husband, dogs and cats in the beautiful mist-belt of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands in South Africa.
She is a wife, mother of three wonderful young adults, grandmother to three precious children, a recently retired teacher of both pre and primary school children, and a passionate nature lover. Her interests include support of various rhino/pangolin rescue groups, as well as gardening, hiking and many other creative outlets.
She believes strongly in imagination and fantasy and loves to include these in the stories that she writes. She has a strong desire to instill a love of reading in children, and hopes through her books to raise awareness about the need for sound conservation as her readers develop a love for their African heritage.

ILLUSTRATED BY CANDISS DIAMONDIS
Candiss Diamondis is a Zimbabwean veterinarian-turned-childrens book author and illustrator living in her haven with her husband, children, dogs and cats.
A book worm from a young age, her nose has always been firmly wedged between pages. Since the birth of her children, she has been thrown back into the magical world of children’s literature, with dragons, pirates, friendly witches, and talking animals - a place where the impossible becomes possible.
Nature is her soul-food and the inspiration for her illustrations. Her children’s curiosity and love of nature have taught her to slow down and find the joy in busy bees, cautious chameleons and delicate dandelions.
Combining her love of nature, animals and art, she creates vibrant, colourful illustrations, striving to celebrate creatures big and small, and to bring joy to all who see them.
